چکیده

This work aimed to evaluate the chemical composition, yield, and antifungal activity of essential oils (EO) native species from ‘Campos de Cima da Serra’ region, South Brazil. The Aloysia gratissima, lycioides, Blepharocalyx salicifolius, Cunila angustifolia, Myrciaria delicatula, Myrcia brasiliensis, Ocimum sp., Schinus polygama had an EO yield higher than 0.1% v/m. in vitro these was tested on fungi Alternaria alternata, Fusarium oxysporum, Botrytis cinerea, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, with concentration v/v. Chemically, sp. presented highest dissimilarity compared other species; EOs M. delicatula brasiliensis degree similarity. inhibited growth all fungi; B. salicifolius no inhibitory effect. remaining intermediate which also depended species.

Interactions between benthic macroinvertebrates and fishes in a low order stream in Campos de Cima da Serra, RS, Brazil.

Benthic macroinvertebrates constitute the link between organic matter input in streams and fishes. However, the possibility of influence of predators on the invertebrates is still a controversial issue. The possibility of alteration of the benthic community by the modification in predation in a stream in the South of Brazil was studied by means of an exclusion experiment under semi-natural cond...

Screening chemical composition of essential oils and antioxidant activities of two Artemisia species from Iran .

Essential oils of two wild-growing Artemisia species collected from west of Iran during the flowering stage were obtained by hydro-distillation and analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC–MS). Under the optimum extraction and analysis conditions, 23 and 19 constituents were identified in A. fragrans and A. hausskenechtii which represented 92.96% and 90.2...
